In 2016, Dr. Mourkioti was named the Director of Musculoskeletal Regeneration Program of the Penn Institute of Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Mourkioti’s research interests broadly encompass fundamental molecular mechanisms for development and the use of mouse models in dissecting how telomere biology is involved in mammalian disease mechanisms.
